The wildly sculpted and colorful rock of Oak Creek Canyon.  This appears to be Coconino Sandstone from the Toroweap Formation which was laid down 265 million years ago when  Arizona was a part of the west coast. Photo taken at the top of Harding Springs Trail on the east rim.
